Tell me about a time you came up with a creative solution to a problem.
During a campus campaign, my team had to promote an event with a very limited budget.
What did you do differently?
[Situation] My team was promoting a campus sustainability event, but most of our budget had already been used for the event itself.
[Task] We needed to attract more students without spending much on additional advertising.
[Action] Instead of printing more posters, I suggested a simple social media challenge. Students posted one environmentally friendly action they had taken and tagged a friend to continue the challenge. We featured selected posts on the event page to encourage more participation.
[Result] The campaign generated more online engagement than our previous poster-based promotion, and event registrations increased without requiring additional advertising costs.
How did you know the idea was practical?
 
I considered what resources we already had. We had active social media accounts and team members who could manage the content, so the idea didn't require additional tools or a large budget.
 
What did that experience teach you about creativity?
 
I learned that creativity isn't always about inventing something completely new. Sometimes it's about looking at the resources you already have and finding a better way to use them.
