면접관: 그 상황에 어떻게 대처했나요?
지원자: 저희 팀은 소비자 지출 패턴에 관한 보고서를 준비하고 있었고, 저는 설문 데이터의 일부를 정리하는 역할을 맡았습니다. 분석 내용을 검토하던 중 제가 몇 개의 응답을 잘못 분류했다는 사실을 발견했습니다. 저는 즉시 팀원들에게 사실을 알리고 데이터를 수정했으며, 다른 오류가 없는지 제가 작업한 나머지 부분도 다시 확인했습니다. 그 결과 보고서를 제출하기 전에 분석 내용을 바로잡을 수 있었고, 실수가 최종 결과에 영향을 미치지 않도록 할 수 있었습니다.

면접관: 본인이 실수했다는 것을 인정하기 어렵지는 않았나요?

Tell me about a time you took ownership of a problem.
One example was during a university research project when I discovered an error in data I had prepared for my team.
How did you handle the situation?
[Situation] My team was preparing a report on consumer spending patterns, and I was responsible for organizing part of the survey data.
[Task] While reviewing our analysis, I realized that I had incorrectly categorized several responses.
[Action] I immediately told my teammates, corrected the data, and reviewed the rest of my work to make sure there were no other errors.

Was it difficult to admit that you had made the mistake?
 
A little, but I knew that trying to hide it would only create a bigger problem. I felt responsible for making sure the team had accurate information.
What did you learn from that experience?
I learned that taking ownership means being honest when something goes wrong and focusing on how to fix it. Since then, I've also made it a habit to double-check important data before sharing it.
